In this role, you'll assess and evaluate insurance risks, determine appropriate terms and pricing, and ensure risks accepted align with underwriting guidelines and profitability objectives. What You'll Do Collaborate with claims, marketing, risk management, and finance teams. Prepare and issue quotations, policy schedules, endorsements, and renewal terms. Evaluate insurance proposals and assess risks against underwriting guidelines. Negotiate terms with brokers and intermediaries to secure profitable business. Determine terms, conditions, limits, deductibles, and premiums for risks presented. Review application forms, risk surveys, claims history, and financial documentation. Analyze underwriting performance, loss ratios, and portfolio trends. Monitor renewal portfolios to maintain retention and profitability targets. Liaise with brokers, agents, and clients to clarify underwriting requirements. What We're Looking For ACII, ACIIN, Diploma in Insurance, or equivalent is an added advantage. Solid understanding of insurance principles, risk assessment, and policy wordings. 2–5 years' experience: in underwriting, insurance operations, or a related role (general insurance underwriting preferred). Knowledge of insurance regulations, compliance, and market trends. Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. What You Bring: Strong analytical and decision-making ability. Good negotiation and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
