The role is primarily focused onbusiness opportunity research, tender support, documentation, follow-up and market development. The Business Development Executive will support the Business Development Manager in identifying business opportunities, conducting market intelligence, tracking tenders, preparing prequalification and bid documentation, engaging prospective clients and maintaining the Company's business opportunity pipeline. Responsibilities: Business Opportunity Scouting: Conduct research on prospective clients, contractors, operators and strategic partners. Provide timely updates to the Business Development Manager on new opportunities. Maintain and regularly update the Company's business opportunity pipeline. Research upcoming projects, tenders, RFQs, EOIs and prequalification opportunities. Monitor oil & gas, EPC, construction and engineering markets for potential business opportunities. Tender & Prequalification Support: Monitor tender portals, client platforms and other approved sources for relevant opportunities. Support preparation and submission of EOIs, prequalification documents and tender submissions. Maintain tender documentation and submission records. Track tender deadlines, clarifications, addenda and submission status. Compile company profiles, technical information, statutory documents and other bid requirements. Client Engagement & Follow-Up: Support communication and follow-up with prospective clients and business partners. Assist in arranging client meetings, presentations and business development engagements. Maintain records of client contacts, correspondence and engagement activities. Follow up outstanding commercial and business development opportunities as directed. Market Intelligence & Reporting: Gather information on market trends, competitor activities, upcoming projects and industry developments. Prepare periodic business development reports and opportunity trackers. Analyse identified opportunities and provide relevant information for management decision-making. Maintain an up-to-date database of prospective clients, projects and business contacts. Business Development Administration: Support preparation of presentations, capability statements and business development materials. Coordinate internal requests for information required for bids and prequalification. Ensure proper filing and retrieval of tender, client and business development documents. Perform other business development activities assigned by the Business Development Manager. Key Performance Indicators Quality of market intelligence provided. Growth and accuracy of the opportunity database. Number of viable opportunities identified. Effectiveness of client follow-up activities. Number of EOIs/prequalifications supported. Accuracy and timeliness of opportunity tracking. Tender submission compliance and timeliness. Requirements: Practical exposure to oil & gas tendering and business development is required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, Management or a related discipline. Candidates with demonstrable experience: in actively scouting and pursuing business opportunities will be preferred. Experience: with EOI, prequalification and tender documentation. 3–5 years' relevant experience, preferably in oil & gas, EPC, construction or engineering services. Competences: Strong written and verbal communication. Microsoft Office proficiency. Business development and market research. Good document management and reporting ability. Client relationship management. Follow-up and relationship-building skills. Tender and bid documentation. Research and analytical skills. Commercial awareness. Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple opportunities. N300,000 - N400,000 per month.
