We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Painter Location: No 1 Akaka Road, Ode Remo - Ogun Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Production / Finishing Industry: Automobile Manufacturing Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter with strong practical knowledge of engineering and automobile manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting vehicle bodies, components, and other metal surfaces while ensuring excellent finishing quality and compliance with engineering, production, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Mix and apply paints, primers, coatings, and finishing materials according to specifications. Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as runs, uneven coating, scratches, bubbles, and poor adhesion. Prepare vehicle bodies, panels, components, and metal surfaces for painting. Operate spray guns and other painting equipment safely and effectively. Comply with all company HSE and environmental requirements. Read and understand basic engineering drawings and technical specifications. Carry out sanding, grinding, cleaning, masking, priming, and surface preparation. Follow proper procedures for handling paints, solvents, and other materials. Maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition. Work closely with Engineers, Finishers, Panel Beaters, Welders, and Production teams. Carry out necessary corrections and rework to achieve the required finish. Demonstrate practical understanding of vehicle body materials and engineering components. Perform other duties assigned by the Production or Engineering Supervisor. Qualifications & Requirements: Good knowledge of workplace safety and proper handling of painting materials. Experience: using spray guns, sanding machines, grinders, and other relevant tools. Good knowledge of automotive paint preparation and application techniques. Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO, NABTEB, Trade Test, or Technical College qualification. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Physically fit, reliable, disciplined, and able to work effectively in a team. Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and measurements. Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience: in automobile painting, industrial painting, fabrication, engineering, or manufacturing. Strong practical knowledge of engineering and automobile manufacturing processes is required.
