The University hereby invites applications from suitably qualified, innovative, versatile, and proactive candidates with established research areas, publications, and competitive citations to occupy the vacant academic position in the capacity below: Job Title: Registrar Location: Babura, Jigawa Job Summary The Registrar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for day-to-day administration. The Registrar serves as Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation, and Convocation. Qualifications At least a Second Class (Lower Division) Honours degree in a relevant field (e.g., Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Administration, etc.) from a recognized University. Must be computer literate. Possession of higher degree(s) in a relevant subject is an advantage. Member of at least one recognized professional body such as NIM, IPMN, ANUPA, etc. Must possess an NYSC Discharge Certificate, Exemption Certificate, or Certificate of Exclusion. Experience: Must have been a Deputy Registrar and served at a managerial level in a University. At least fifteen (15) years post-qualification experience, ten (10) of which should be relevant to University Administration. Age & Health: Age: Must not be more than sixty (60) years of age at the time of appointment. Health : Must enjoy good health to be able to endure the rigors of the duties of the position. Duration & Condition of Service Duration: Single term of five (5) years. Condition of Service Attracts all rights and benefits: of occupants of such an office in the Nigerian University System.
