Work Location: Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos (Compulsory) Min Qualification: Degree Experience: Level: Entry level Experience: Length: 2 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Lagos, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Monitor security alerts, logs, and events from SIEM, EDR, network, and other security monitoring tools. Perform initial triage and analysis of security alerts to identify suspicious or potentially malicious activity. Distinguish between false positives and genuine security incidents using available logs and security tools. Escalate confirmed or high-severity incidents to senior SOC analysts in accordance with established procedures. Assist with basic investigation of security incidents and gather relevant evidence for further analysis. Monitor network, endpoint, authentication, and system activities for unusual patterns. Maintain accurate records of security alerts, incidents, investigations, and actions taken. Prepare daily/weekly SOC reports and shift handover updates where required. Follow SOC procedures, playbooks, escalation matrices, and security policies. Support vulnerability monitoring and follow up on identified security issues. Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques. Collaborate with IT and other technical teams when security issues require further investigation or remediation.
