We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Electrical Lead - Rotating Machines Workshop Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Position Overview Felton Energy Services Ltd is establishing a specialist rotating-machines workshop capable of major inspection, overhaul, refurbishment, repair, testing and rewinding of motors, generators and alternators, including equipment up to 11 kV. The Electrical Lead will provide senior electrical engineering leadership and technical authority for rotating electrical-machine activities. Position Purpose The Electrical Lead will have overall technical responsibility for electrical aspects of rotating-machine repair and refurbishment, including diagnostics, inspection, rewind engineering, electrical testing quality assurance and commissioning. The role requires a highly experienced engineer with substantial practical HV/LV rotating-machine and rewind experience. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with the Mechanical Lead on rotor/stator condition, assembly. alignment and balancing. and technical personnel. Provide technical leadership, training and development to electrical Lead electrical failure analysis and investigate machine faults. Review and approve winding designs, specifications and insulation systems. Provide senior electrical engineering leadership for rotating-machine workshop operations. Define and oversee electrical inspection and test requirements: before, during and after rewinding Take overall electrical technical responsibility for stator and rotor rewind projects. Ensure compliance with HSE, electrical safety, quality procedures and client specifications. Support commissioning and final acceptance testing of repaired or rewound machines. Develop procedures, inspection/test plans and electrical quality control documentation. Lead electrical inspection, condition assessment, fault diagnosis, repair and refurbishment of motors, generators and alternators. Supervise and interpret electrical tests and review results to ensure technical and client acceptance. Requirements: Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 10 years' experience: in a similar senior electrical/rotating machines role Strong HV and LV rotating-machine experience, with exposure to machines up to 11 KV highly desirable. Extensive experience: with industrial motors, generators and alternators Proven experience: in stator and rotor rewinding and winding-system engineering. Working Environment: This role will be based on Felton Energy Services rotating machines workshop in Nigeria and will support major repair, refurbishment, maintenance, rewind, testing and commissioning projects for industrial clients.
