As a member of the Legal team, the Legal Support/Paralegal is responsible for providing effective legal operations, administrative, and paralegal support to the Legal Director and wider Legal team. The role serves as a central coordination point for the Legal function, ensuring efficient management of legal documentation, litigation and contract trackers, legal research, meetings, invoices, compliance activities, and departmental processes. Key Responsibilities: Keep the Thompson Reuters litigation tracker updated and ensure relevant legal matters are accurately recorded Maintain accurate trackers for litigation, contracts, regulatory permits, licences, and compliance activities Prepare legal summaries, briefing notes, routine legal documents, notices, and correspondence Support the implementation of the Legal and compliance framework Coordinate invoice processing for external counsel and legal vendors and support monitoring of the Legal Department budget Support the Legal Director with board and company secretarial activities and preparation of executive presentations and briefing materials Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, and relevant industry developments Coordinate Legal team and external meetings, including preparation of agendas, minutes, action items, and timely follow-up Ensure confidential and sensitive legal information and documentation are securely maintained Support procurement activities relating to legal vendors and contribute to departmental process improvements Track the execution and circulation of legal documents requiring signatures and maintain accurate legal filing systems Monitor key deadlines and follow up on outstanding actions to support timely and effective delivery of Legal priorities Provide administrative and coordination support to the Legal Director and Legal team, including travel, meetings, events, and key departmental activities Requirements: Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and electronic document management systems Strong organization, time management, prioritization, and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Adaptable, solution-oriented, and able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality work within tight deadlines Familiarity with SAP Ariba or similar ERP systems is an advantage Experience: within an FMCG or multinational corporate environment is an advantage Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.); Nigerian Law School qualification (B.L.) is an added advantage Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills 2-5 years’ experience: working in a legal department or law firm Good understanding of Nigerian laws relevant to the FMCG sector Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional discretion How to Apply Interested and qualified candidates should: Click here to apply online View all Jobs in Nigeria Paralegal job vacancies in Nigeria
