We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the company's financial operations and provide strong financial leadership across financial reporting, budgeting, cash-flow management, cost control and business performance. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable Nigerian financial regulations. Review reconciliations, general ledger accounts, bank statements and financial schedules. Provide management with financial analysis and insights to support decision-making. Prepare and review management accounts and financial statements. Budgeting & Forecasting: Monitor actual performance against budgets and investigate variances. Develop and monitor key financial performance indicators. Provide financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions. Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning process. Prepare financial forecasts and cash-flow projections. Transport & Logistics Finance: Work closely with Operations to ensure effective cost management and financial discipline. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend measures to improve operational efficiency. Monitor the financial performance of transport and logistics operations. Review the financial implications of fleet acquisition, leasing, maintenance and replacement decisions. Monitor profitability by route, customer, vehicle, contract or business unit where applicable. Analyse key operational costs, includingfuel, vehicle maintenance, fleet expenses, driver costs, repairs, insurance and logistics expenses. Cash Flow & Working Capital: Monitor accounts receivable and drive timely customer collections. Maintain effective banking relationships. Manage daily and monthly cash-flow forecasting. Manage supplier payments and accounts payable. Monitor working capital and liquidity requirements. Tax, Audit & Compliance: Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures. Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory and tax obligations. Maintain appropriate financial controls and documentation. Coordinate internal and external audits. Cost Control: Monitor operating and administrative expenses against approved budgets. Investigate unusual or excessive expenditure and recommend corrective action. Analyse major cost drivers across the transport and logistics operations. Develop and implement cost-control initiatives. Team Management: Continuously improve finance processes, controls and reporting systems. Lead, supervise and develop the finance team. Set clear objectives and performance targets for finance staff. Ensure high standards of accuracy, accountability and timely reporting. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
