We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance management. Review major contracts, investments, capital expenditure, and other significant financial commitments. Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, improved profitability, and operational efficiency. Monitor cash flow, working capital, liquidity, receivables, payables, and overall financial position. Lead the preparation and coordination of statutory audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the Group’s financial records. Oversee treasury operations, banking relationships, payments, and financial risk management. Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives. Lead, develop, and performance-manage the finance and accounting team. Strengthen controls around inventory, procurement, sales collections, credit, expenses, and branch operations. Provide strategic financial leadership across the Group and its business units. Provide management with financial analysis and recommendations to support commercial and operational decisions. Collaborate with HR, Operations, Procurement, Pharmacy, Retail, F&B, IT, Audit, and other departments on financial matters. Establish and maintain robust financial controls, accounting policies, and approval processes. Monitor revenue, margins, operating costs, profitability, and financial performance across branches and business units. Provide financial insights and business intelligence to support expansion and strategic initiatives. Ensure compliance with applicable tax, accounting, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements. Requirements: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems. High level of integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and attention to detail. Demonstrated experience: managing finance teams and working with senior management. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. Experience: in retail, FMCG, pharmaceutical distribution, manufacturing, hospitality, or other multi-location businesses will be an advantage. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Proven experience: in a CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller, or equivalent senior leadership role. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, taxation, treasury, audit, and financial controls. Experience: with ERP systems and business intelligence/reporting tools is an advantage. Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is required. Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience: in finance and accounting, with significant experience: in senior financial management. Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial, tax, and regulatory requirements. Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to connect financial performance to operational results.
