The Supermarket Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the supermarket, supervise staff, monitor customer service, ensure proper product arrangement, and support effective stock and cash management. Key Responsibilities: Assist with receiving and checking deliveries. Support regular stocktaking and investigate discrepancies. Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures. Monitor customer service and ensure customers receive prompt and courteous assistance. Assign duties and monitor staff attendance and performance. Review daily sales and operational records where required. Supervise the daily activities of supermarket staff. Help minimize stock losses, wastage, and product damage. Oversee the activities of cashiers, aisle attendants, and other store personnel. Handle basic customer complaints and escalate serious issues to management. Ensure damaged or expired products are identified and reported. Prepare or submit daily operational reports to management. Ensure smooth opening and closing of the supermarket according to company procedures. Support staff training and onboarding where necessary. Perform other duties assigned by management. Monitor product arrangement, pricing, labelling, and expiry dates. Monitor stock levels and ensure shelves are adequately stocked. Ensure the supermarket maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Monitor cashiers and ensure proper cash-handling procedures are followed. Report staff, stock, equipment, and operational issues to management. Ensure all departments and aisles are properly organized and maintained. Requirements: Must be responsible, trustworthy, punctual, and disciplined. Minimum of OND/HND/BSc in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field. Good knowledge of customer service and retail operations. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
