We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Construction Project Accountant Location: Lekki, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The Construction Project Accountant will be responsible for monitoring project finances, tracking construction costs, managing project accounts, and ensuring proper financial documentation and accountability across all construction activities. The ideal candidate should have practical experience: working with construction teams, contractors, vendors, and project budgets. Key Responsibilities: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and cost performance. Track payments to contractors, artisans, suppliers, and vendors. Support project managers with financial analysis and cost information. Maintain proper documentation of all project transactions. Identify cost variances and escalate financial risks. Prepare project cost reports and financial updates. Ensure compliance with company financial procedures. Support internal audits and financial reviews. Maintain accurate financial records for construction projects. Review invoices, purchase requests, payment documents, and supporting records. Monitor material procurement costs and project expenditure. Reconcile project expenses and vendor accounts. Requirements: 3 - 5 years’ experience: in construction/project accounting. Strong Excel and accounting software skills. High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail. Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, or related fields Strong understanding of construction costing, procurement processes, and project expenditure tracking.
