The role involves identifying workplace risks, ensuring compliance with HSE policies and regulations, conducting inspections and training employees to maintain a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities: Implement and monitor the organization’s HSE policies, procedures and standards. Conduct regular workplace, warehouse, depot and operational safety inspections. Identify hazards, assess risks and recommend appropriate control measures. Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe practices and prepare reports. Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and tracked to completion. Conduct regular toolbox talks, safety briefings and HSE training for employees. Monitor compliance with PPE requirements: and other safety procedures. Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, inspection checklists and incident registers. Support emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and evacuation exercises. Ensure fire safety equipment, first-aid kits and other emergency equipment are available and properly maintained. Monitor environmental practices, including waste management and proper disposal procedures. Conduct risk assessments for new activities, equipment, facilities and operational processes. Work closely with Operations and other departments to address safety concerns. Support internal and external HSE audits and regulatory inspections. Stay updated on applicable HSE laws, regulations and industry best practices. Promote a strong safety culture and encourage employees to report hazards and unsafe conditions. Provide regular HSE performance reports and recommendations to management. Compliance with applicable HSE regulations and company standards. Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree/HND in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sciences or a related field. Relevant HSE certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, NISP, ISO 45001 or equivalent is an advantage. 2–5 years\' experience: in an HSE role, preferably in FMCG, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or a similar operational environment. Good knowledge of workplace health and safety principles and risk management. Experience: conducting safety inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations. Strong reporting, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to train and influence employees at different levels. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Willingness to travel to operational locations when required.
