We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Accountant to support the Finance & Accounts team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of accounting principles, strong numerical skills, and a high level of attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: Monitor expenses and ensure they are properly authorized and supported by relevant documentation. Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and other financial accounts. Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Accountant or Finance Manager. Support stock and inventory reconciliation where applicable. Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries. Identify and report discrepancies or unusual transactions to the Accountant. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Assist in monitoring accounts payable and receivable. Assist with the preparation and posting of journals, invoices, payment vouchers, and other accounting documents. Key Requirements: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Good numerical and analytical skills.
