The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of exportation, logistics, international trade procedures, and export documentation, with strong attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders. We are seeking a com petent and results-driven Export Manager to oversee and coordinate the company’s export operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the export process from order confirmation and documentation through logistics coordination, customs clearance, shipment, and delivery. Key Responsibilities: Export Operations: Coordinate the end-to-end export process for shipments. Resolve operational issues and delays affecting export shipments. Liaise with suppliers, buyers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, customs agents, and other logistics partners. Monitor shipments to ensure timely departure and delivery. Manage export orders, schedules, cargo preparation, and shipment arrangements. Export Documentation: Ensure that documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time. Prepare, review, and maintain export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, air waybills, and other relevant documents. Maintain proper records of export transactions and shipping documents. Customs & Regulatory Compliance: Identify and escalate potential compliance issues. Coordinate with customs agents and relevant government/regulatory agencies. Ensure export transactions comply with applicable Nigerian export regulations and international trade requirements. Stay informed about changes in customs procedures, documentation requirements, tariffs, and export regulations. Logistics Coordination: Work with freight forwarders and logistics providers to secure competitive and reliable shipping arrangements. Track shipment status and provide timely updates to management and clients. Coordinate transportation of goods from suppliers/warehouses to ports, airports, and other designated export points. Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization. Customer & Partner Management: Provide clients with shipment schedules, documentation, and status updates. Communicate effectively with international customers and business partners. Handle customer concerns relating to export shipments professionally. Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, clearing agents, suppliers, and other service providers. Reporting & Administration: Prepare regular export operations reports. Support management with information required for business planning and decision-making. Track shipment volumes, costs, delivery timelines, and operational performance. Maintain an organized database of export transactions and documentation. Requirements: & Qualifications Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability. 2–5 years of experience: in export, logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or international trade. Good understanding of export documentation and shipping procedures. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Experience: working with freight forwarders, shipping companies, clearing agents, or logistics providers is preferred. Ability to work under pressure and meet shipment deadlines. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Knowledge of customs clearance and regulatory requirements: is an advantage. Working knowledge of exportation processes and logistics operations. Strong organizational and coordination skills.
