The State-Based Program Officer (SBPO) leads Extension Africa's donor-funded development work in Oyo State turning work plans into field activity, training farmers and extension agents, driving adoption of climate-smart and digital extension practices, and maintaining data quality and reporting against the project's results framework. The role also links development to commerce: the SBPO builds and certifies the last-mile rural structure (FBAs, farmers, and vendors) for verified handover to the Commercial Arm's State Sales Team via the Agent Processing Centre (APC). Residency within Oyo State is compulsory. Requirements: Fluency in English and the predominant local language of Oyo State 3–5 years of progressive experience: in agricultural or rural development projects (NGO/donor-funded preferred) Experience: recruiting or managing community-level agents or field networks is an advantage Must be resident in or willing to relocate to Oyo State.
