We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Legal Officer Location: Apapa, Lagos Job Summary To provide corporate and legal services at Dangote Sugar PLC on a reporting line to the DSR Group Company Secretary/Legal Adviser. Job Responsibilities: Any other matter incidental to the position and as directed by the CSLA. Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reports for Departmental and Management Meetings. Assist in filing of renditions with regulatory Authorities. Liaise with external Solicitors in respect of cases in court whilst also ensuring periodic review of the status of the cases with a view to expediting their resolution and ascertaining the effectiveness of the strategies adopted. Assist to ensure that all licenses, agreements and permits of the Company are valid and ensure Contracts, Advance Payment Guarantees and Bank Guarantees are renewed before expiration. Assist in preparation of Board Committee Reports and Minutes of Meetings. Assist in reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they comply with statutory and legal requirements; and continuously monitor legal and regulatory compliance and advise Management accordingly. Conduct legal verifications especially for Vendor onboarding. Qualifications Demonstrate knowledge of corporate and commercial law and regulatory compliance issues amongst others. 1 - 3 years experience: in a Law Firm or conglomerate.
