The Microbiological Analyst is responsible for performing microbiological tests and analysis on products, raw materials, and the manufacturing environment to ensure they meet specified standards of quality, sterility, and safety. This role will be critical in ensuring the compliance of our products with industry regulations (GMP) while fostering an innovative and efficient laboratory environment Key Responsibilities: Perform routine microbiological testing of raw materials, water, environmental samples, and finished products. Support environmental monitoring and laboratory compliance activities. Maintain laboratory records, equipment, and documentation in accordance with GMP requirements. Insures that the correct and most updated versions of SOP’s are available to all laboratory personnel Reviews current regulatory and technical journals to help provide guidance and to support manufacturing regarding microbiological issues Write and/or execute microbiological method qualification and validation according to contemporary quality standard Work with Marketing, Program Management, R&D functions and other stakeholders to identify solutions to customer needs and develop concepts for features and products Create user stories, acceptance criteria and ensure that stories meet the Definition of Ready Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the true underlying needs Qualifications Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree with 2 - 4 years experience. Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in microbiological techniques and the use of laboratory equipment (e.g., autoclaves, incubators, microscopes). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex scientific information clearly. Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to laboratory processes. A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hybrid environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
