The company delivers specialized engineering, maintenance, and chemical solutions across onshore, offshore, and deep-water environments We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: HSE Officer Location: Ogun Employment Type: Full-time Responsibilities: Develop HSE plan and policies Co-ordinate responses to emergencies involving health, safety and environment. Conduct drills such as fire drills to ensure equipment is properly functioning and associates are aware of what to do in an emergency. Maintain HSE statistics Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes. Enforce TGI group HSE standards across the team within his assigned business unit Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor To review the HSE PPE plan against the PPE Issuance record Write reports detailing HSE Performance within the assigned area Assist in investigating of industrial accidents, near misses, injuries or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures and establish trends. To handle community-related issues. To prepare HSE requirements: for bid inline to bid requirements: Carry out workplace inspections Assist in facilitating safety toolbox meeting, conduct inductions and facilitate safety awareness trainings. Design and supervise the implementation of safe work procedures and TGI group HSE standards such as confined space, permit to work procedures, among others. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment by the employees in the premises. Ensure readiness of firefighting systems by periodic checking and testing the same on a weekly basis. Monitor, enforce, and evaluate the compliance level of contractors and subcontractors to the TGI Group HSE Management System. To monitor the Competency of Emergency responders. To ensure compliance to applicable requirements. Carry out environmental impact and aspect studies Coordinate risk assessment and job hazard analysis. Organize and facilitate HSE trainings and meetings. Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery and equipment to identify and correct potential hazards Maintain HSE communication structure and system, distribution of HSE-specific documents to contractors/clients.
