We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Account Officer Location: Ogbete, Enugu Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The ideal candidate should be trustworthy, numerate, organized, and able to handle cash and financial records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of cash and inventory, handling banking transactions, and ensuring proper documentation of financial activities. Key Responsibilities: Cash Management: Ensure proper documentation and filing of cash-related transactions. Monitor daily cash balances and ensure all transactions are properly documented. Maintain accurate records of all cash received and disbursed. Reconcile cash records and report any discrepancies promptly. Banking & Financial Transactions: Deposit cash and other financial instruments at the bank as required. Maintain records of all bank deposits and related documentation. Prepare and organize funds for banking transactions. Support the reconciliation of cash and bank transactions. Inventory Records: Monitor inventory movements and update records regularly. Report inventory shortages, excesses, or inconsistencies to management. Conduct periodic stock checks and identify discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of inventory received, issued, and remaining in stock. Record Keeping & Documentation: Assist in preparing basic financial reports and summaries when required. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial and administrative records. Ensure all financial records are kept confidential and secure. Record daily transactions accurately and ensure supporting documents are properly filed. General Accounts Support: Support the preparation of financial statements and reports. Ensure transactions are properly authorized and documented. Assist with day-to-day accounting and administrative duties. Assist management with financial information and records when required. Requirements: & Qualifications Ability to handle cash responsibly. Good communication and interpersonal skill. Good record-keeping and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Previous experience: in an accounting, cash handling, or finance-related role is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. High level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Good knowledge of basic accounting principles.
