Read more about this company Senior Accountant Job Type Full Time , Hybrid Qualification BA/BSc/HND , MBA/MSc/MA Experience: 3 years Location Lagos Job Field Finance / Accounting / Audit Responsibilities: Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial reporting on an ongoing basis Coordinate activities of external auditors including interim audit work Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process Evaluate accounting and internal control and implement improvements as needed Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly operating cash flows Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting and an Accountancy accreditation are required. At least 3 years of experience: in a similar role are required. Advanced Excel and ERP system experience: are preferred. Excellent knowledge of local accounting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures is required. Real Estate accounting experience: is a must. Big four audit experience: is an advantage. Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong focus on transparency and willingness to collaborate with team members across business units. Professional fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken. Must have completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC or have an exemption certificate. A valid and up to date National Identity Card/NIMC slip is required upon commencement of this role.
