Description The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective teaching and learning experiences for pupils while supporting their academic, social, emotional and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Maintain classroom resources and ensure teaching materials are properly organised. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupils' academic progress and welfare. Monitor pupils' learning progress and provide additional support where necessary. Teach assigned subjects effectively and use age-appropriate teaching methods. Work collaboratively with other teachers and school management. Prepare lesson plans, lesson notes, instructional materials, assignments and assessments. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the school management. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the approved primary school curriculum. Encourage pupils to develop good study habits, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Participate in school assemblies, extracurricular activities, excursions, competitions and other school programmes. Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development. Create a safe, supportive and stimulating classroom environment. Maintain effective classroom management and discipline. Assess pupils regularly and maintain accurate records of their academic performance. Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Education: or a related discipline will be an added advantage. Minimum of NCE, B.Ed., B.Sc. (Ed.) or equivalent qualification in Education: or a relevant subject area. TRCN certification or evidence of registration is an added advantage. Additional professional teaching qualifications will be an advantage. Experience: Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience: in a reputable primary school. Experience: using modern and child-centred teaching methods is preferred. Candidates with experience: preparing pupils for common entrance examinations will be an added advantage. Experience: teaching pupils across different primary school levels will be an advantage. Skills: Ability to identify and respond to individual learning needs.
