Monitor project profitability and contract performance. Ensure compliance with industry-specific financial reporting requirements. Support tender pricing, contract evaluations, and commercial negotiations from a financial perspective. Treasury & Cash Flow Management Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital efficiently. Maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions. Optimize funding requirements and oversee debt obligations. Supervise payment processes while ensuring adequate financial controls. Tax & Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations. Coordinate preparation and filing of statutory returns. Liaise with regulatory agencies including FIRS, state tax authorities, and other government agencies. Stay updated on changes in financial reporting standards and tax legislation. Financial Management & Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to Executive Management and the Board. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes. Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights for decision-making. Develop management reports, dashboards, and key financial performance indicators. Budgeting & Financial Planning Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts. Develop long-term financial plans aligned with corporate objectives. Monitor budget performance and investigate significant variances. Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives. Internal Controls & Risk Management Strengthen and maintain effective internal control systems. Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and financial procedures. Coordinate internal and external audits. Implement recommendations arising from audit findings. Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Establish performance objectives and drive continuous improvement. Promote a culture of accountability, ethics, and operational excellence. Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational objectives. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is mandatory. MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is an added advantage. Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance experience, including: Significant finance experience within the oil and gas industry. At least 3–5 years with an accounting firm Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and internal controls. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Sage. Experience with financial modelling and business analytics is highly desirable.
