The role helps ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen while assisting chefs and cooks. Min Qualification: High School (S.S.C.E) Experience: Level: Entry level Experience: Length: 1 year Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Edo, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Assist in preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring food items. Support chefs and cooks during meal preparation and food service. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and food preparation areas. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils promptly. Receive, inspect, and properly store food supplies and kitchen inventory. Ensure proper handling and storage of food items in accordance with food safety regulations. Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Replenish kitchen supplies and notify supervisors of low stock levels. Assist with basic food preparation and plating as directed by the chef. Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance issues. Follow health, safety, and hygiene policies at all times. Perform other kitchen support duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor. Requirements: SSCE or equivalent qualification; a certificate in Hospitality or Food Preparation is an added advantage. Minimum of 1 year of experience: in a restaurant, hotel, catering service, or similar environment is preferred. Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
