Our Client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across its restaurant branches. This is a hands-on, multi-branch leadership role for someone who can standardize processes, drive profitability, and build strong teams; all while protecting the warmth and consistency that defines the brand. What You'll Be Doing Operations & Standards: Develop, enforce, and continuously improve SOPs for kitchen, front-of-house, hygiene, and inventory management. Ensure full compliance with food safety, health, and regulatory standards branch-wide. Oversee daily operations across all branches, ensuring consistent food quality, service delivery, and customer experience. Financial Performance: Monitor food cost, wastage, and labour efficiency; take corrective action on variances. Own branch-level revenue, profitability, budgeting, and cost control. Report regularly on sales and cost performance against targets. People Leadership: Own the training and development calendar across branches, including onboarding and regular team briefings. Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of branch managers and supervisory staff. Conduct performance reviews, drive staff motivation, and reduce turnover. Customer Experience: Implement and track corrective actions on recurring service issues. Monitor customer feedback and reviews; resolve escalated complaints quickly and professionally. Facilities & Workforce Planning: Plan staffing levels and schedules to balance labour cost with service coverage. Manage procurement, stock control, and vendor relationships. Oversee maintenance across branches Reporting: Provide leadership with regular reports on operations, sales, costs, staffing, and customer satisfaction. Proactively recommend improvements and cost-saving initiatives. What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days First 30 Days – Learn & Assess: Identify immediate gaps in SOP compliance, food safety, and service consistency. Complete a full operational audit across all branches, understanding current processes, team structure, and performance baselines. Review current cost, wastage, and labour efficiency figures against targets. Build working relationships with all branch managers and supervisory staff. Days 31–60 – Stabilize & Standardize: Implement at least one visible improvement in customer experience: or complaint resolution turnaround. Address any urgent people or performance issues flagged during the assessment phase. Roll out or reinforce SOPs across branches where inconsistencies were identified. Begin regular performance check-ins with branch managers, with clear KPIs in place. Days 61–90 – Deliver & Demonstrate Impact: Present leadership with a structured 90-day report covering operations, performance, risks, and recommended next steps. Show measurable movement on at least one cost or efficiency metric (e.g., wastage reduction, labour cost optimization). Have a training and development plan in motion across branches. Demonstrate stronger branch-to-branch consistency in service delivery and standards enforcement. What We're Looking For 5+ years' experience: in multi-branch restaurant, QSR, or hospitality operations management. Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP or equivalent an advantage). Strong people leadership skills, experience: managing branch managers or supervisors directly. A Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven track record managing P&L, cost control, and budgets at branch or regional level.
