The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations of the company, ensure regulatory compliance with regulator guidelines, and provide strategic financial insights to support loan growth, risk management, and profitability. You’ll be the go-to person for budgeting, reporting, treasury, and cost control in a fast-paced microfinance environment. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and GAAP requirements: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for all departments and branches Present financial performance reports and insights to management and board Treasury & Cash Management: Monitor daily cash flow, liquidity, and funding requirements: Oversee disbursements, repayments tracking, and bank reconciliations Manage relationships with correspondent banks and investors Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure compliance with CBN prudential guidelines, NDIC, FIRS, and other regulatory bodies Coordinate internal and external audits, and implement audit recommendations File statutory returns: VAT, WHT, PAYE, and financial reports on time Loan Portfolio & Risk Management: Analyze loan portfolio performance, NPLs, provisioning, and interest income Work with credit and operations teams to improve loan recovery and profitability Implement cost controls and improve operational efficiency Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounts, treasury, and finance operations team Develop finance policies, SOPs, and internal controls Drive automation of finance processes and reporting Requirements: & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields. ACA/ACCA is required. Experience: 5+ years finance experience, with at least 2 years in a microfinance bank, fintech, or lending institution Knowledge: Deep knowledge of CBN guidelines for Fintechs, IFRS, and tax laws in Nigeria Strong understanding of loan products, interest calculation, and provisioning Proficiency in accounting software: Advanced Excel and ERP systems Skills: Analytical thinking, attention to detail, leadership, excellent communication, and ability to work under pressure.
