The DevOps Engineer builds and maintains PayZeep's CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure and deployment automation, ensuring reliable, secure and scalable platform delivery. Key Responsibilities: Ensure system availability, performance, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness of production environments. Support application deployment activities and ensure seamless release management across development, staging, and production environments. Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives and infrastructure performance improvements. Collaborate with Engineering and Security on secure deployment practices. Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment procedures. Automate operational processes and repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Implement infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management practices. Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Implement monitoring, alerting and logging for platform reliability. Support incident response and on-call rotation for production systems. Enforce security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps). Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews for critical platform issues. Manage cloud infrastructure (provisioning, scaling, cost optimization). Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives and infrastructure performance improvements. Collaborate with Software Engineering, Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams to improve development and operational workflows. Qualifications Cloud certification (AWS/Azure/GCP) is an advantage. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (required). Experience: Fintech / Financial Services Experience: 6+ years supporting infrastructure for fintech, banking or transaction-processing systems preferred Total Relevant Experience: 5–8 years Skills & Competences: Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience: supporting microservices-based architecture. Strong experience: with CI/CD tooling (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) Strong troubleshooting skills in high-availability production environments Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration.
