These include the sale and lease of residential and commercial properties, and long-term property management within Nigeria and Internationally. Unfortunately, we had to step down to a more analogue approach if we were to work with other stakeholders in the real estate space in Nigeria. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Business / Data Analyst Location: Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time Reports to: Senior Admin Manager Job Summary This dual-function role bridges the gap between deep technical data analysis and high-level business strategy. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights while continuously monitoring global events and market trends. The ideal candidate will provide the leadership team with daily updates on current affairs and macroeconomic shifts that could impact or create opportunities across our real estate, energy, hospitality, and retail operations. The Business & Data Analyst is responsible for transforming business data into meaningful insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the Group's businesses—365 Petroleum Energy, Vestates Limited, Apex Restaurant, and Zbom Home. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, commercially aware, technology-driven, and capable of converting complex information into actionable business recommendations. Key Responsibilities: Business Analysis & Strategy: Monitor key business risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Conduct feasibility studies and business case analyses for new products, services, investments, and expansion opportunities. Track sales team metrics against KPIs, providing data-driven performance insights to department heads. Perform process mapping and recommend automation opportunities where applicable. Design, maintain, and optimize templates for customer acquisition, property procurement, and vendor performance. Support strategic planning by providing market intelligence and competitive analysis. Conduct continuous risk assessments across business units, identifying potential financial or operational bottlenecks and proposing mitigation strategies. Develop dashboards and business performance scorecards for executive management. Oversee procurement trackers and conduct localized market surveys to ensure competitive pricing and supply chain efficiency. Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, improvement and cost optimisation. Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, clean, validate, analyse, and interpret large datasets from multiple business units. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting platforms. Develop forecasting models and predictive analyses to support business planning. Prepare periodic reports including but not limited to: Procurement Reports. Operational KPI Reports. Short Stay Performance Reports. Diesel Consumption Reports. Lettings & Occupancy Reports. Expense Reports. Profitability Analysis. Customer Analytics. Inventory Reports. Revenue Analysis. Sales Performance Reports. Design and maintain interactive dashboards and management reports using Power BI, Excel, or similar business intelligence tools. Analyse trends and identify opportunities to increase profitability and reduce operational costs. Market Research & Business Intelligence: Conduct customer behaviour analysis and identify emerging market demands. Analyse industry benchmarks and recommend best practices. Monitor local and international business news, economic trends, government policies, technological innovations, regulatory changes, and geopolitical developments that may affect any of the Group's businesses. Prepare concise daily executive intelligence reports highlighting relevant business opportunities, risks, emerging trends, and industry developments. Track competitors across the petroleum, hospitality, real estate, retail, and home services sectors. Collaboration: Gather business requirements: from stakeholders and convert them into analytical solutions. Train users on dashboards, reports, and data interpretation where necessary. Present findings and recommendations to senior management. Work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, HR, Procurement, and Executive Management. Technology & Innovation: Maintain reporting databases and analytical models. Recommend digital tools that improve operational efficiency. Support implementation of business intelligence and data management systems. Identify opportunities for automation of business processes and reporting. Required Skills and Qualifications Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into simple, strategic narratives. Excellent research skills with an innate curiosity for current affairs and global markets. Meticulous attention to detail and strong risk-identification skills. Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of multi-sector business dynamics (Energy, Real Estate, Hospitality, Retail). Experience: supporting multiple business units or diverse industries is an added advantage. 3–5 years' experience: in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Management reporting or related field. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline. High proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and modern collaboration tools (Slack, ClickUp, Asana). Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau). Professional certifications in Business Analysis or Data Analytics are an added advantage (e.g., CBAP, ECBA, Microsoft Power BI, Google Data Analytics, Tableau).
