The job requires competent personnel, a technician, who can read and write, with the ability to work at height and handle cable running effectively Min Qualification: OND Experience: Level: Entry level Experience: Length: 1 year Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Lagos, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Resolve, repair, and install fibre optic systems and ensure that they work properly Examine and replace faulty and old fibre optic cables, and also organise scheduled maintenance routines Take care of fibre splicing and rectify fibre optic problem areas Have excellent knowledge of optical cable testing and restoration tools such as Splice Machines, Light Source, OPM, OTDR, etc. Execute premises cabling and take care of the underground and underwater cabling requirements: Must be able to restore a fibre-optic cable link failure within a maximum duration of 2 hours under the worst possible conditions. Keep track of the signal strength of different devices, such as televisions and telephones, to provide adequate performance Formulate and maintain system records and system design Fundamental knowledge of computers and associated electronic systems Troubleshooting and mechanical skills Requirements: Proven field service experience. 2 years of experience: in a similar role Minimum academic qualification of an OND Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service Technical equipment. English literacy. Ability to drive a maintenance Vehicle. May need to possess a driver's license Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
