We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Commercial Development Manager Location: Dutse, Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, securing clients, increasing sales revenue, managing digital and social media platforms, developing the company’s market presence, and coordinating logistics and delivery operations. We are seeking a highly driven, result-oriented, and commercially minded Business and Commercial Development Manager to support the growth and operational efficiency of Abuja Precast Concrete Limited. This is a KPI-based position, and the successful candidate will be expected to achieve clearly defined monthly and quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), particularly in client acquisition, sales generation, lead conversion, revenue growth, customer retention, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate must be proactive, commercially aggressive, comfortable with meeting sales targets, and capable of using social media and digital marketing tools to identify, engage, and convert potential customers into paying clients. Position Overview The candidate will also manage the company’s social media presence and use digital platforms to generate qualified leads and convert online prospects into actual customers. The role combines business development, sales and marketing, social media management, client acquisition, logistics coordination, and operations management. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding the company’s customer base among contractors, developers, construction companies, estate developers, government contractors, project managers, and other bulk buyers of precast concrete products. Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Sales: Represent the company at industry events, construction sites, client meetings, exhibitions, and other business development opportunities. Identify, prospect, and secure new clients, including contractors, real estate developers, construction companies, estate managers, government contractors, infrastructure companies, and individual bulk buyers. Follow up consistently with prospective and existing customers to convert enquiries into confirmed orders. Develop and execute effective business development and sales strategies for concrete blocks, paving stones, kerb stones, interlocking stones, and other precast concrete products. Develop and maintain an active database of prospects, clients, contractors, developers, and construction companies. Develop strategies to increase market share and sales revenue. Monitor competitors, market prices, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities. Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial offers in collaboration with management. Negotiate with clients while protecting the company’s pricing and profitability. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. Generate new sales leads through direct marketing, networking, referrals, site visits, telephone calls, WhatsApp, email marketing, and digital platforms. Social Media Management & Digital Marketing: Manage and grow Abuja Precast Concrete Limited’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, WhatsApp Business, and other relevant platforms. Use social media and digital marketing campaigns to generate qualified leads and attract contractors, developers, construction companies, architects, engineers, estate developers, and other potential clients. Create and publish engaging content featuring the company’s products, projects, production processes, customer deliveries, product quality, and activities. Coordinate with management on paid advertising campaigns, maintain a consistent professional brand image, and identify emerging digital marketing opportunities to improve visibility and customer acquisition. Track engagement, enquiries, leads, conversions, and sales generated through digital campaigns, using social media analytics to evaluate performance and improve lead-generation strategies. Logistics & Operations Management: Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communication among sales, production, logistics, and customers. Supervise logistics partners, trucks, drivers, loading teams, and dispatch operations. Coordinate timely and cost-effective delivery of precast concrete products to customer sites. Resolve delivery issues promptly while controlling costs and ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety requirements. Plan transportation schedules and monitor product availability to ensure orders are fulfilled on time. Client Relationship & Customer Retention: Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities among key customers and high-volume buyers. Maintain regular communication with customers to encourage repeat business and strengthen long-term relationships. Improve customer retention by gathering feedback, resolving complaints promptly, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Reporting & Management Support: Track sales targets against actual performance. Maintain accurate records of prospects, clients, sales activities, enquiries, orders, and deliveries. Provide management with regular sales pipeline and client acquisition reports. Required Qualifications & Experience: Good knowledge of social media management and digital marketing tools. Proven track record of generating leads and converting prospects into paying customers. Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong sales and client relationship management abilities. Knowledge of social media advertising and paid lead-generation campaigns is highly desirable. Must be comfortable working with monthly and quarterly sales and operational KPIs. 3–8 years of proven experience: in business development, sales, marketing, or operations, preferably within construction, manufacturing, building materials, real estate, or related industries. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced production and field-based environment. Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and performance data.
