We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Fixed Equipment Specialist / Mentor Location: Offshore Employment Type: Contract Responsibilities: Deliver structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) and coach personnel to strengthen technical competency. Participate in maintenance planning, execution, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical reviews. Mentor technicians and planners on equipment fundamentals, troubleshooting methodologies, and maintenance best practices. Support knowledge transfer and capability development across maintenance teams. Perform and oversee the repair and maintenance of fixed equipment, including boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, fired heaters, furnaces, reactors, vessels, columns, manual valves, control valves, oxygen service equipment, steam traps, heat tracing systems, and other related equipment. Provide hands-on field guidance during critical maintenance activities, major repairs, equipment overhauls, start-up, and commissioning activities. Promote and enforce compliance with safety procedures, EGTL safety requirements, and Operational Excellence principles. Troubleshoot complex equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability. Coordinate effectively with maintenance teams and other stakeholders by providing clear technical guidance and accurate maintenance reports. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for fixed equipment maintenance and provide technical support to maintenance teams. Ensure right-first-time execution of maintenance activities and compliance with approved maintenance procedures and standards. Work closely with maintenance planners to ensure technically complete work packs, accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), proper spare parts selection, correct job sequencing, tooling availability, and readiness for complex and high-risk maintenance activities. General Requirements: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions. Knowledge of EGTL Specific safety orientation, Chevron safety standards, and Operational Excellence culture is essential. Proficiency in repairing and maintaining boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, heaters, furnaces, columns, and manual/control valves. Proven involvement in at least five projects in a similar environment. Demonstrated hands-on field guidance experience: during critical maintenance, major repairs, overhauls, start-up, and commissioning. Demonstrated experience: in the repair and maintenance of package and process boilers, fired heaters, reactors, vessels, columns, heat exchangers, oxygen service equipment, and steam traps/heat tracing. More than 10 years of EGTL Plant Fixed Equipment Experience: may be considered in lieu of specific certifications. Possession of HND / BSc /MSc or equivalent, with certifications like ASME, API, or relevant trade certifications being advantageous. Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience: as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in industrial fixed equipment maintenance.
