We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Porter Location: Ikoyi, Lagos Responsibilities: Welcome guests: Greet guests warmly upon arrival. Assist with opening doors and directing guests to reception. Handle luggage: Ensure luggage is handled carefully to prevent damage or loss. Collect, carry, and deliver guests' luggage to and from their rooms. Tag and safely store luggage when necessary. Assist with check-in and check-out: Escort guests to their rooms after check-in. Explain basic room facilities and hotel services. Collect luggage from rooms when guests are checking out. Guest assistance: Assist elderly guests, families, and guests requiring additional support. Respond politely and promptly to guest requests. Help guests with taxis, transportation, directions, and general enquiries. Maintain the entrance area: Ensure trolleys and other porter equipment are clean and properly positioned. Keep the hotel entrance, lobby surroundings, and luggage area clean and orderly. Coordinate with other departments: Report guest requests, lost items, damages, or unusual incidents to the appropriate department. Communicate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Security, and Maintenance when necessary. Security and guest safety: Remain alert around the entrance and luggage storage area. Follow the hotel's procedures for handling guests' belongings. Report suspicious activity or unattended items to Security. Other duties: Help elderly or disabled guests with movement around the hotel. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management. Assist with deliveries and receiving items where assigned.
