We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Marine Advisor I - Yoho Platform Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Employment Type: Contract Main Function Works to assure the safe and efficient turnaround of gas carriers and condensate tankers. This will include assisting with the management and oversight of all associated critical contractors including tug and port services providers Tasks and Responsibilities: Coordinate general and other activities at the marine terminal Perform vessel inspections and Marine Quality Assurance (MQA) related assessments Make recommendations for improving safety Review and update documents, manuals, and procedures (Continuous Improvement) Perform technical writing services Streamline and enhance operating practices Provide operational efficiency-related advice Prepare and author training documents and assessment packages Coordinate tugs and port services Provide project management services and oversight of marine terminal-related projects Prepare for and implement industry best practices (Marine Terminal Management and Self-Assessment (MTMSA) and Marine Terminal Operator Competence & Training (MTOCT)) Implement additional systems and practices that are required Assist with implementation and improvement of company best practices Perform marine coordination duties when required, including but not limited to: Loading Master Personnel Transfer PTWS Coordinate the Safety/Surveillance vessel Provide assistance with and oversight of controls-related activities including marine fueling Support contractor interfacing and management through application of the oi System (oi) 8-1 practices, including: Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) leadership programs SSHE execution plan, including gap closure plan Self-monitoring reporting Subcontractor management Preparation of Interface Management Plan (IMP) Contractor Work Crew Evaluation Preparation for the Kick Off Meeting Contractor assessment. Skills and qualifications Experience: in the company operations organization - preferred Expert knowledge of current large tanker applied mooring operations and best practices Knowledge of applied Operations Integrity Systems, specifically oi 8-1. Master Mariner's License - required University degree preferred. Candidates without the above requirements: will be considered, dependent on experience: Strong culture of "Nobody Gets Hurt" Prior marine experience: in a senior officer position - required Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience: in the oil and gas industry.
