Read more about this company Associate Professor - Mechatronics Engineering Job Type Full Time Qualification PhD/Fellowship Experience: 9 - 12 years Location Abuja Job Field Education: / Teaching / Training Responsibilities: The Associate Professor will report to the Head of Department and will be responsible for teaching specific course content whilst ensuring that the course design and delivery comply with the quality standards and regulations of the University and Faculty. He/she will also engage in academic research activities and projects with the potential to generate income whilst securing impact. He/she is expected to; Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars. Develop curricula and course material that can be used across a number of platforms. Collaborate with other academics and lecturers to improve teaching methods and expand knowledge base. Set and grade assignments, tests, and exams. Conduct research, and writing papers, proposals, journal articles, and books. Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and other events in and outside of the institution. Participate in training opportunities and initiatives at the institution. Provide support to students and other colleagues. Stay current by reading widely and producing published work in the field. Educational and Professional Qualification(s) required for this position The candidate must be a Reader with a Ph.D. degree and evidence of outstanding experience: in teaching, research, and administration. The candidate must have a record of substantial publications in reputable journals and evidence of undergraduate and postgraduate supervision. High level of professionalism, ethical standards, discretion, and respect for confidentiality of the donors. Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and accurately complete tasks, work independently and meet deadlines. Affiliation with a Professional body. Must be adept in the use of MS Office Packages and video conferencing tools such as Microsoft Teams.
