We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Project Accountant Location: Lekki, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time, On-site Reports To: Finance Manager / General Manager Key Responsibilities: Project Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and cost performance. Track payments to contractors, artisans, suppliers, and vendors. Maintain accurate financial records for all construction and renovation projects. Review invoices, purchase requests, payment documents, and supporting records. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Reconcile project expenses and vendor accounts. Identify cost variances and escalate financial risks. Support project managers with financial analysis and cost information. Monitor material procurement costs and project expenditure. Prepare project cost reports and financial updates for management review. Compliance & Documentation: Support internal audits and financial reviews. Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and applicable regulatory requirements. Manage job cost accounting for multiple active construction projects. Maintain proper documentation of all project transactions. Requirements: Ability to work closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, and Site Teams. High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail. 3–7 years' experience: in construction/project accounting. Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is required. Bachelor's Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, or related fields. Knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, progress billing, retainage, and change orders. Strong understanding of construction costing, procurement processes, and project expenditure tracking. Strong Excel and accounting software skills. Salary N700,000 Monthly Gross.
