We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary This is not a role for someone who simply supervises from a distance. We need a hands-on construction professional who can take responsibility for what happens on site and ensure the project keeps moving. Are you an experienced Civil Engineer / Project Manager who knows how to take a construction project from plans to reality? We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to take ownership of our active residential construction projects in Lagos. Do you thrive on the site, understand what it takes to keep construction moving, and have the confidence to lead teams, manage contractors, solve technical problems and deliver projects to the required quality, cost and timeline? What You'll be Responsible for Resolve day-to-day technical and operational challenges on site Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards Review drawings and identify technical issues or clashes before they become costly problems Prepare and submit regular project progress reports to management Monitor project progress against agreed timelines and identify potential delays early Review subcontractor works, progress and performance Manage site resources, manpower, equipment and materials effectively Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and management Conduct regular site inspections and progress assessments Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day execution and coordination of assigned projects Lead and supervise Site Engineers, supervisors, artisans, subcontractors and other site personnel Monitor construction methods, workmanship and material usage Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained throughout the project Monitor project costs and minimise unnecessary wastage and rework Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements: Plan, coordinate and monitor construction activities from start to completion Drive projects toward timely, quality and cost-effective completion Who We're Looking For We want a strong construction leader, not just someone with a Civil Engineering degree. You should be: Comfortable taking ownership of an active construction site A strong communicator and confident decision-maker Experienced in supervising contractors and site teams Organised, disciplined and able to work under pressure A qualified Civil Engineer with relevant professional experience: Experienced in managing building/residential construction projects Able to identify problems early and find practical solutions Able to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings Commercially aware and conscious of project costs and wastage Strong in project planning, coordination and execution Strong in construction methods, sequencing and quality control Added advantage: A proven record of delivering projects successfully from start to completion in Lekki, Ikoyi, Banana Island.
