We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Health Manager, P-4 Location : Abuja Job Type: Contract Job Summary You will be responsible for supporting the Chief in managing the Maternal, Neonatal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) Portfolio of the health section and leading the management, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the MNCAH output within the country programme. You will provide technical guidance and operational support throughout the programming process to facilitate the achievement of concrete and sustainable results, according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), The Health Manager reports to the Chief of Health and HIV for general guidance and supervision. Summary of Key Functions / Accountabilities Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results. Advocacy, networking and partnership building. Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building. Advisory services and technical support. Programme development and planning. Minimum Requirements: Work Experience: A minimum of eight years of professional experience: in one or more of the following areas is required: public health planning and management, maternal and neonatal health care, communicable diseases (HIV, TB, and malaria) or health emergency / humanitarian preparedness. Skills: Experience: in Monitoring, Evaluation, Strategic Planning, Advocacy, Programme management and Partnership building is required. Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Education: Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in one of the following fields is required: Public Health, Pediatric Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialization, Family Health, Biology, Health Research, Global / International Health, Health Policy and/or management, Biostatistics, Socio-medical, Health education, epidemiology or another relevant technical field. Desirables: Relevant experience: at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts. Experience: working in a global health initiative (Global Fund, GFF, GAVI) is considered as an asset. Executive education: in management, innovation, and/or gender will be an asset Relevant experience: in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
