The HR Executive will be responsible for supporting recruitment, employee onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, HR administration, and employee engagement. Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure VendorCredit’s adherence to applicable Nigerian and international laws, regulations, and guidelines, including AML/CFT, data protection, consumer protection, and fintech-specific regulations. Prepare periodic regulatory compliance reports for management and regulatory submissions as required. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of regulatory changes and advise the Head, Legal & Compliance and relevant business units on implications. KYC/KYB and Onboarding Oversight: Monitor ongoing due diligence, transaction patterns, and risk indicators to detect suspicious activity. Review client and counterparty onboarding documentation to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with Operations, Risk, and Legal teams to strengthen controls over onboarding, verification, and periodic refresh of client information. Support the implementation and enforcement of VendorCredit’s KYC/KYB policies and procedures. Internal Controls: Maintain performance records and support the preparation of performance reports. Track completion of performance reviews and follow up with managers and employees. Assess and test internal control processes across VendorCredit’s operations to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with company policies. Identify gaps in control frameworks and recommend corrective actions. Assist managers with performance-related documentation and processes. Learning & Development: Collect training feedback and prepare training reports. Coordinate internal and external training programmes. Track employee participation and completion of assigned courses. Support the identification of employee training and development needs. Maintain performance records and support the preparation of performance reports. Assist managers with performance-related documentation and processes. Maintain the annual learning and development calendar. Track completion of performance reviews and follow up with managers and employees. Learning & Development: Maintain the annual learning and development calendar. Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including team activities, quarterly hangouts, recognition programmes, and other HR initiatives. HR Policies & Compliance: Maintain proper documentation for HR processes and employee records. Ensure HR processes comply with applicable Nigerian employment laws and regulatory requirements. Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures. Support periodic reviews and updates of the employee handbook and HR policies. Payroll, Benefits: & HR Operations: Provide accurate employee information and changes required for monthly payroll processing. Support leave, attendance, and employee movement tracking. Prepare HR reports and provide relevant workforce data for management decision-making. Support administration of employee benefits, including HMO and other company-provided benefits. Coordinate employee enrolment, updates, and exits with relevant benefit providers. HR Reporting & Data Management: Use HR data to identify trends and support improvements in HR processes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and databases. Prepare periodic HR reports on recruitment, headcount, turnover, leave, training, performance, and other HR metrics. Ensure timely updates of the HRIS and other HR trackers. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Timely resolution of employee queries and HR issues. Compliance with HR policies and statutory requirements. HRIS data accuracy and completeness. Recruitment turnaround time and quality of hires. Performance appraisal completion rate. Employee engagement and HR initiative participation. Timely completion of onboarding and employee documentation. Training completion and employee participation rates. Accuracy and timeliness of HR reports. Accuracy and completeness of HR records. Qualifications & Requirements: Good knowledge of HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and Nigerian employment practices. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Professional certification such as CIPM, SHRM, or CIPD is an added advantage. 2–4 years of relevant HR experience, preferably within a fast-paced, technology, fintech, or financial services environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Experience: using HRIS and other HR technology platforms.
