The Account Officer – Waybill is responsible for managing, recording, reconciling, and monitoring all financial transactions relating to waybills. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, record, and maintain accurate waybill financial records. Maintain proper filing and documentation of waybills, receipts, invoices, and payment records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between waybills, receipts, collections, and accounting records. Verify waybills to ensure that transportation charges, customer details, destination, and other relevant information are correct. Record daily waybill transactions into the accounting system or appropriate records. Work with the Operations and Dispatch teams to confirm completed deliveries. Ensure that all waybill-related income is properly captured and accounted for. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy and timeliness of daily/monthly reports. Compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. Accuracy of waybill financial records. Proper documentation and filing of waybill transactions. Timely reconciliation of waybill collections. Reduction in outstanding customer balances. Quick identification and resolution of financial discrepancies. Requirements: and Qualifications Experience: handling waybills, receipts, collections, or transport-related financial records is an advantage. 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a transport, logistics, courier, or haulage company. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial controls. B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
