What we publish

Job Check Nigeria publishes public job information and original guidance that helps candidates understand a role, check its source, compare requirements and reach the official application route. A listing is not presented as verified employment merely because it was discovered online.

Job pages organise source title, employer or recruiter, location, contract information, application instructions, posted date, deadline and source link when available. Stable owner pages cover recurring role, location, sector or employer searches and link back to active listings in Nigeria.

Source and verification standard

We prefer employer career pages, recognised applicant-tracking systems, public-sector portals, established job boards and public organisation announcements. Community leads and forwarded posts may be included only after moderation and remain identified by their source record.

A discovery source and an employer application destination are different facts. We keep the discovery source visible while resolving an apply link toward the employer or ATS when the destination can be verified. If verification fails, the original source remains the fallback rather than being replaced by an uncertain destination.

We reject or suppress listings that appear fake, closed, duplicated, unrelated to real work, illegal, discriminatory, misleading or designed to collect fees or sensitive information. A source appearing in our index is not an endorsement.

Review workflow

New and updated records pass through source classification, field normalisation, quality and safety review, and application-route review. The system removes empty headings and repeated extraction artefacts while keeping raw source text available for audit.

Priority owner pages are reviewed against active inventory and query ownership. A page must answer the user's search intent with localised metadata, useful guidance, active and recent jobs, source links, safety notes, internal links and a correction route. Pages without enough evidence or inventory are excluded from indexable sitemap output until they qualify.

Expired jobs follow a separate rule. They return HTTP 410 with no `JobPosting` structured data, remain out of the sitemap, and direct users back to a useful job search. The underlying record is retained for audit rather than silently leaving a misleading page online.

AI-assisted content

AI may help summarise long source text, propose search tags or draft a clearly labelled career-assistant result. It does not create salary, seniority, qualifications, deadlines or employer claims. Source text controls whenever AI output differs.

Public AI drafts are reviewed for tone, safety and relevance before reuse. Job descriptions use deterministic normalisation with raw-source fallback. The job disclaimer directs readers to confirm details at the original source and never pay for interviews or shortlisting.

Corrections, removals and independence

Employers, candidates and rights holders can report an incorrect, outdated, duplicated or suspicious listing to hello@jobchecknigeria.work. Reports are reviewed against the source and the current record. We may correct, hide, unpublish, redirect or add a warning when the evidence supports it.

Advertising and commercial partnerships do not determine whether a job is indexed, how it is described or whether a correction is accepted. AdSense remains disabled until the trust, indexing and content-quality gates are met.

Review cadence

Source configuration, canonical routes, sitemap inclusion, expired-job behaviour, employer-link resolution and high-value owner pages are checked during releases and monitored after deployment. Material corrections are reflected in the applicable page or job record and included in the next sitemap refresh.
