Job Title: IT Officer
Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Accountabilities
- Support the effective use of digital learning platforms, educational software, and other technology tools.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of audiovisual equipment for classes, meetings, and school events.
- Manage IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and other technology resources.
- Provide technical support to staff and students, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and equipment.
- Implement and enforce IT policies, cybersecurity measures, and data protection procedures.
- Manage and maintain the school's computer networks, internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi systems.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, projectors, and other IT-related devices.
- Monitor IT infrastructure and promptly resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and regular backup of data and information systems.
- Maintain and update software, operating systems, and antivirus applications.
- Train and guide staff on the effective use of IT systems and digital tools.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant IT support or systems administration experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general IT support tools.
- Relevant IT certifications are an added advantage.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, data backup, and data protection best practices.
- Experience with school management systems, learning management systems, or ERP platforms is an added advantage.
- B.Sc. or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Good understanding of computer networking, internet connectivity, and network security.
