We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Facility Plumber
Location: Lagos
Summary
This role helps ensure safe, reliable operation and compliance with applicable codes and workplace procedures.
The Facility Plumber installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs plumbing systems and related equipment throughout the facility.
Key responsibilities
- Read blueprints, schematics, and work orders to plan repairs and installations.
- Respond to maintenance requests and plumbing emergencies; prioritize work based on urgency.
- Coordinate with facility staff and contractors during repairs, renovations, and shutdowns.
- Install, maintain, and repair water supply, drainage, wc, urinal bowls, water heater, kitchen sink and plumbing systems etc.
- Keep tools and work areas clean, organized, and secure.
- Inspect pipes, valves, fixtures, pumps, water heaters, and backflow-prevention devices.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, materials, and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot leaks, blockages, low water pressure, and equipment malfunctions.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to system reliability.
- Follow plumbing codes, safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and infection-control rules where applicable.
Qualifications
- Valid plumbing license or certification where required.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and applicable codes.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, swage and water treatment plant, swimming pool.
- Trade test 1,2 & 3, or diploma.
- Relevant plumbing experience; facilities or commercial-building experience preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, work in confined spaces, and respond to emergencies.
