We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Chief Finance Officer
Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and overall financial position.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and plans aligned with the organisation’s business objectives.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, regulators, and other key financial stakeholders.
- Manage financial reporting, accounting operations, and the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support investment decisions, business planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team while promoting accountability and operational efficiency.
- Monitor financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate exposure and protect the organisation’s assets.
- Oversee investment appraisals, financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence for potential investments.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports and performance updates to Executive Management and the Board.
- Establish and maintain effective financial controls, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, investment analysis, and strategic financial planning.
- Experience in investment management, financial services, or a related industry.
- Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- High levels of integrity, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- At least 8–10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including significant experience in a senior financial leadership role.
- A master’s degree or MBA will be an added advantage.
- A recognised professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, corporate finance, budgeting, taxation, and financial controls.
