Job Title: Warehouse Material Officer
Location: Kontagora, Niger
Department: On-site / Warehouse Operations
Job Summary
The successful candidate will oversee warehouse floor operations, perform accurate stock counts, strictly enforce stock release protocols, and ensure strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). High integrity, sharp analytical skills, and uncompromising attention to detail are essential to prevent shrinkage, eliminate stock discrepancies, and maintain operational security.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Warehouse Material Officer with a solid background as a Store or Warehouse Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Monitoring & Operations: Conduct daily oversight of warehouse activities, ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials, and maintain a safe, organized work environment in compliance with company SOPs.
- Release Verification & Dispatch Security: Ensure that no inventory or materials leave the facility without formal, verified release authorizations. Prepare, audit, and archive accurate release documentation and stock dispatch records.
- SOP Compliance & Security: Adhere strictly to warehouse control workflows, security measures, and material management guidelines to minimize loss, shrinkage, and error.
- Discrepancy & Security Escalation: Immediately investigate, document, and report any stock variances, damaged items, unauthorized release attempts, or suspicious activity to senior management.
- Inventory Control & Stock Audits: Perform regular periodic, cycle, and random stock counts. Reconcile physical stock against system records to report precise stock balances.
- Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven track record as a Store Manager, Warehouse Manager, or Inventory Controller (minimum 2–4 years preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Inventory Management System such as MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Core Competencies: High level of personal integrity, keen attention to detail, strong observational skills, and strong verbal/written communication abilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
