Location: Odonla, Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified, competent, and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team.
We are committed to providing accurate, reliable, and timely diagnostic services through quality laboratory practice and patient-focused care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support efficient daily laboratory operations and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Collect, receive, label, process, and analyse patient samples according to established procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate professionally with colleagues and patients.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Prepare, validate, document, and release laboratory reports in line with professional standards.
- Ensure compliance with biosafety, infection prevention, waste disposal, and laboratory quality standards.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through quality control and quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain proper laboratory records, inventory, and reagent stock.
- Perform routine and specialised laboratory investigations, including haematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, serology, and other relevant tests.
Requirements
- Current registration and valid practising licence with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- BMLS or equivalent recognised qualification in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Good analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant experience in a diagnostic laboratory is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to accurate results.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
