Job Title: Account Manager (Inventory & Cash)
Locations:
Awotan & Orogun, Ibadan - Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: General Manager / CEO
Job Summary
The successful candidate will oversee financial controls, cash reconciliation, and inventory management across both locations.
Key Duties
Ensure all transactions are captured accurately and promptly in the accounting software.
Conduct daily and weekly stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
Manage daily cash reconciliation at both locations, ensuring sales match cash collected.
Supervise the Account Clerk and ensure proper shift handovers.
Manage procurement requests, raise purchase orders, and track deliveries.
Prepare daily sales and cash reports for the CEO and weekly profit-and-loss (P&L) summaries for each location.
Coordinate monthly external audits and compliance activities with Taiwo Adewale & Co.
Enforce segregation of duties between sales personnel and the accounting team.
Investigate and report stock variances, missing items, and unexplained cash shortfalls.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or POS software.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail accounting, inventory management, or financial controls.
High integrity, strong attention to detail, and a process-driven approach.
Experience in pharmaceutical retail, FMCG, or healthcare is an advantage.
Fluency in English and Yoruba.
Ability to identify and report discrepancies or suspected fraud.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
No unexplained cash variances exceeding ₦5,000 per week.
Timely preparation of weekly P&L summaries.
Timely submission of daily sales and cash reports.
100% compliance with shift-handover procedures.
Stock variance below 1% per monthly audit cycle.
Salary: N180,000 – N250,000 gross monthly, HMO, pension, 13th-month salary, and transport allowance.
Performance Bonus: ₦40,000 per qualifying month, subject to the employer's zero-variance criteria.
