The company produces Tomato Mix, Peppe & Onion Tomato Seasoning Mix, Curry Powder and Thyme Leaves, under the brand name Sonia. The factory is located in Ikorodu Shagamu Express Road, Onigbagbe/Sotubo Village, Shagamu Ogun State, Nigeria.

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly competent and commercially minded Account lead (finance) to oversee accounting and financial operations while providing strong financial oversight across operations and supply chain activities.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on
Experience
within an FMCG, Distribution, or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods environment, with a strong understanding of inventory, distribution, logistics, cost control, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Warehouse, and Management teams to ensure financial accuracy, operational efficiency, compliance, and effective cost management.
with Tally accounting software will be an added advantage.
Strong communication, integrity, ownership, and organisational skills.
Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Current/recent
in an FMCG or Distribution company is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting/business applications.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, reconciliations, inventory accounting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Finance & Accounting:
- Ensure proper documentation and approval of financial transactions in line with company policies.
- Monitor financial controls and identify discrepancies, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost-control initiatives.
- Monitor receivables, payables, cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions.
- Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, journals, and management accounts.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and statutory requirements.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial records.
- Conduct regular bank, cash, supplier, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
- Operations & Supply Chain:
- Monitor logistics, transportation, handling, and other supply-chain-related expenses.
- Analyse operational costs and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
- Provide financial oversight for warehouse, inventory, logistics, procurement, and distribution operations.
- Review and reconcile warehouse and distribution transactions with financial records.
- Ensure appropriate financial controls across the end-to-end supply chain process.
- Work with Operations and Supply Chain teams to identify cost leakages, inefficiencies, and control gaps.
- Collaborate with Operations, Warehouse, Procurement, and Sales teams to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Support inventory counts, stock reconciliations, and investigation of variances.
- Monitor inventory movements, stock valuation, stock adjustments, and inventory-related costs.
- Business Support & Reporting:
- Participate in process improvement, automation, and implementation of financial controls.
- Ensure effective collaboration between Finance and other business functions.
- Provide actionable financial insights to support decision-making.
- Analyse business performance, costs, margins, inventory, and operational trends.
- Provide accurate financial and operational reports to Management within agreed timelines.
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent are an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Practical understanding of Operations, Warehouse, Logistics, Distribution, and Supply Chain processes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a Related Discipline.
- 4–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in an FMCG, Distribution, Manufacturing, or related environment.
