We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Summary
The successful candidate must be highly organised, detail-oriented, numerate, trustworthy and proficient in accounting processes, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pharmaceutical business environment.
The Account Officer will be responsible for supporting the Company's day-to-day accounting and financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring customer accounts, processing transactions, performing reconciliations and assisting Management in ensuring effective financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting Operations:
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, expenses and other financial transactions.
- Record and process daily financial transactions accurately and promptly.
- Prepare and maintain appropriate accounting records, schedules and supporting documents.
- Maintain accurate records of cash, bank and other financial transactions.
- Ensure that accounting entries are properly supported by relevant documentation.
- Customers Accounts and Receivables:
- Ensure that all customer payments are properly identified, receipted and posted to the appropriate accounts.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and regularly update accounts receivable reports and ageing schedules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts.
- Work closely with the Sales/Marketing Team to monitor customer credit exposure and outstanding debts.
- Escalate overdue accounts and significant discrepancies to Management.
- Follow up on outstanding customer balances in accordance with Company policies.
- Monitor customer balances, outstanding invoices and payment schedules.
- Banking and Reconciliation:
- Assist in the preparation of cash-flow and bank position reports.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve unreconciled items.
- Monitor Company bank accounts and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
- Verify deposits, transfers, withdrawals and other banking transactions.
- Sales and Inventory Accounting Settings:
- Work with the Warehouse, Sales and Marketing Teams to identify and resolve discrepancies relating to invoices, deliveries, returns and payments.
- Verify sales transactions and ensure that all approved sales are properly recorded.
- Reconcile sales invoices with sales records and customer accounts.
- Monitor credit sales and ensure that supporting documentation is complete.
- Assist in reconciling stock-related transactions with accounting records.
- Assist in reviewing debit notes, credit notes, returns and adjustments.
Requirements
- Applicants must possess:
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
using accounting software.
A Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good numerical and analytical skills.
High level of integrity, accountability and professionalism.
Minimum of 0-4 years' relevant accounting experience.
Practical
in accounts receivable, reconciliations and financial record keeping.
Salary: N200,000 per month.
