The Vendor Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing Gbovo’s relationships with vehicle vendor partners. The role owns the vendor relationship from onboarding through activation and ongoing account management. The Vendor Account Manager will ensure vendors are actively using the Gbovo platform, maintain sufficient and accurate vehicle inventory, generate qualified customer referrals, meet agreed service-level expectations, and have a positive experience working with Gbovo. This is both a relationship management and commercial growth role. Success is measured not simply by the number of vendors managed, but by how active, productive, and satisfied those vendors are.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor Onboarding & Activation
  • Manage the onboarding of new vehicle vendors onto the Gbovo marketplace.
  • Ensure all required vendor documentation, agreements, business information, and compliance requirements are completed.
  • Train vendors on Gbovo’s marketplace, financing products, referral process, and operating procedures.
  • Ensure vendors upload the agreed minimum number of eligible vehicles.
  • Move vendors from signed → onboarded → active as quickly as possible.
  • Conduct follow-ups with newly onboarded vendors to address early challenges and increase adoption.
  • Vendor Portfolio Management
  • Own and manage an assigned portfolio of Gbovo vendor partners.
  • Maintain regular communication and structured check-ins with vendors.
  • Understand each vendor’s inventory, customer profile, sales activity, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Identify inactive or underperforming vendors and develop activation plans.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers within vendor organizations.
  • Referral & Revenue Growth
  • Increase the number of qualified financing referrals generated by assigned vendors.
  • Educate vendor sales teams on how to identify customers who may benefit from Gbovo financing.
  • Work with vendors to integrate Gbovo financing into their sales process.
  • Identify high-performing vendors and opportunities to deepen the relationship.
  • Develop account-level plans to increase referrals and financed vehicle sales.
  • Marketplace Inventory Management
  • Ensure vendors maintain the required minimum number of active vehicles on the Gbovo marketplace.
  • Monitor inventory levels across assigned vendor accounts.
  • Follow up on vendors whose inventory falls below agreed requirements.
  • Ensure vehicle listings are accurate, current, appropriately priced, and contain the required information and images.
  • Work with vendors to remove unavailable vehicles and replace sold inventory promptly.
  • Encourage vendors to maintain a diverse mix of vehicles relevant to Gbovo customers.
  • Vendor SLA & Accountability
  • Ensure vendors understand and comply with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Track vendor performance against key requirements, including response times, vehicle availability, documentation, pricing accuracy, vehicle inspection readiness, and transaction completion.
  • Follow up on SLA breaches and agree on corrective actions with vendors.
  • Escalate repeated or material performance issues internally.
  • Maintain vendor accountability while preserving strong commercial relationships.
  • Vendor Satisfaction & Issue Resolution
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned vendors.
  • Respond to vendor questions and coordinate internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Proactively identify friction within the vendor experience.
  • Escalate financing, operational, payment, documentation, technology, or customer-related issues to the appropriate Gbovo team.
  • Track outstanding issues through resolution and communicate progress to vendors.
  • Collect structured vendor feedback and share recurring themes with management.
  • Cross-Promotion & Partnership Activation
  • Identify opportunities for Gbovo and vendor partners to jointly promote vehicles and financing offers.
  • Coordinate with Gbovo’s Marketing team on vendor campaigns, featured vehicles, promotions, social media content, and other co-marketing initiatives.
  • Encourage vendors to promote Gbovo financing through their own sales teams, social channels, websites, showrooms, and customer databases.
  • Identify opportunities for special campaigns based on vendor inventory or customer demand. Key
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • 2–5 years of experience in account management, customer success, partnerships, automotive sales, financial services, marketplace operations, or a related role.
  • Experience managing multiple business accounts or commercial relationships.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to grow account revenue.
  • Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with targets, dashboards, CRM systems, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations and hold partners accountable to agreed standards.
