Job Title: Accountant
Location: Mushin, Lagos
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and analytical Accountant to oversee key financial operations, ensure accurate financial records and reconciliations, and support effective financial management across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supplier accounts, purchases, credit notes, rebates, and related transactions.
- Review ledgers, expenses, and financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
- Prepare payroll and ensure timely statutory remittances.
- Strengthen financial controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
- Manage bank reconciliations and banking-related transactions.
- Prepare financial reports and provide financial information to Management.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure proper documentation.
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
HND / B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Leadership ability with good attention to detail and financial control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software / ERP systems; Tally experience is an advantage.
ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.
Salary: N300,000 – N350,000 / month.
