Key Accountabilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations for the accounts department, assign weekly performance goals, and ensure completion across board.
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures with proven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
- Prepare monthly reports to analyze financial health and give objective advice identifying loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
- Provide all records, documents, and files about VAT returns, VAT settlements, and transactional data.
- Process payroll in conjunction with the HR unit.
- Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
- Managing income and expenditure accounts.
- Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
Professional accounting qualification (ICAN/ACCA) or part-qualification is an added advantage.
